The Fleurieu Wedding of Chris & Stacie
A Fleurieu Affair
I have never met two (almost 3!) people more perfectly matched than highschool sweethearts, Chris and Stacie. I say almost 3 because the couple had an extra reason to celebrate on their wedding day, Stacie was pregnant!
Having already emigrated from England, built the most gorgeous (and obscenely huge) home together and with a baby on the way, there was no time like the present for a stunning wedding here on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
On December 18 with the sun shining the couple and their guests celebrated with a beautiful ceremony at Oliver’s White Hill Estate in Mclaren Vale. Champagne and strawberries in hand as onlookers watched the bride step out of her blue VW Beetle. I should mention one of these onlookers was Dash their Vizsla puppy who also came to watch his parents tie the knot and snag a few free strawberries.
With their own personal flair nothing about this unique wedding was traditional. Stacie glowed in a pink, off-the-shoulder dress from a local Fleurieu retailer, Miss Gladys On Sea in Aldinga Beach. And yes! The frock matched the locks with Stacie sporting a stunning pink up-do.
After the ceremony, the new husband and wife and their guests hopped up the hill for a good feed and epic reception at Russell’s Pizza in Willunga. With guests flowing inside and out, so were the pizzas. If bellies weren’t full after the all you can eat pizza, they would be after the nude cake, baked by Stacie’s mum. Yummy!
The photographs below were captured by their photographer on the day, Winning Photography.
PS. For those who are interested in the bump, now baby, his name is Lupin and he is superbly squishy!
